Story conversations
A customer shares your product or a listener tags your latest episode.
A thoughtful acknowledgement can make that interaction feel noticed. Linkar’s Story mention trigger sends your saved reply when a supported mention reaches the connected account. The goal is a useful thank-you, not treating every tag as a request for an aggressive sales conversation.
3 step process
Start with one clear request. Build the answer around the person who sent it.
Use Story mentions rather than general DM keywords. This separates a person sharing their own Story from someone replying to yours.
Thank the person for the mention. If there is a campaign resource or permission question, make it relevant and keep it secondary to the acknowledgement.
Have another account mention you in a Story. Verify that the event is available to your connected account and that your saved response arrives as expected.
Why it helps
Story replies and mentions get a fitting answer while the moment is still fresh.
Write a message you would comfortably send yourself. A simple thank-you often fits the moment better than immediately asking the person for more information.
If you want permission to share a customer Story, ask for it explicitly. Receiving a mention does not establish permission to reuse somebody’s content.
Your team can maintain one acknowledgement while leaving personal follow-up to a person. That helps when a campaign produces many mentions at once.

Linkar connects to Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages. What an automation can do depends on the channel and the account you connect.
An Instagram professional account, either Business or Creator.
Private replies to comments and supported conversation journeys. Personal Instagram accounts are not supported.
A Facebook Page you are authorised to manage.
Replies are posted publicly under comments on your Page posts, so everyone reading the thread sees the answer.
Before you switch it on
An automatic thank-you should not imply you already have permission to republish a Story. Invite the person to reply if they are comfortable with reuse, then let your team assess that answer. Avoid asking every customer to enter another campaign immediately after they have already supported your business.
Campaign notes
A Story reply is a response to your own Story. A Story mention arrives when another person includes your account in theirs. These interactions deserve separate triggers and wording. Use a specific request word for an offer, and a short acknowledgement for a mention. Supported event availability can depend on account and privacy context.
Stories and highlights can outlive a promotion. Keep the offer destination current and remove expired instructions. A mention does not automatically establish permission to reuse a customer’s content; ask and review that separately. Test from another account, including any general DM flows that may also match the incoming interaction.
Short answers about accounts, plans and setup. If your question is not covered here, our support team can help.
Delivery depends on the supported events Meta makes available to the connected account, including account and privacy limitations. Test the interactions you intend to use. Linkar does not scrape Stories or guarantee visibility into every private mention.
No. Use Linkar’s supported builder options to choose the interaction, write your messages, and configure the next steps. Supply your own destinations and test the full journey. If you need help with an account or delivery issue, contact support.
