Helpful DM replies

You’ve answered this DM before. Let the answer go out again.

Someone asks for an offer, receives the link, and gets distracted.

A short reminder can help when the conversation is still eligible for messaging.

Linkar lets you configure timed follow-ups for supported DM flows and checks the messaging window and opt-out status before delivery.

The delay is a scheduling choice, not a way to extend Meta’s permission to message someone.

3 step process

Prepare the answer before the question arrives.

Start with one clear request. Build the answer around the person who sent it.

  1. Choose an eligible DM flow

Start with an incoming message journey that already gives the person useful information. Do not assume a comment private reply alone permits continued reminders.

  2. Write one short check-in

Offer help with the original topic and keep any link consistent with the first message. Avoid a deadline unless it is real and shown on the destination page.

  3. Test delivery and skipping

Check the intended delay in a test conversation. Review whether the follow-up is sent or skipped, including when an opt-out or closed window makes it ineligible.

Supported channels

Where this works

Linkar connects to Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages. What an automation can do depends on the channel and the account you connect.

Why it helps

Built for the inbox you actually have.

Prepared answers for the questions you already know, and a clear route to your team for the rest.

  1. Keep the reason recognisable

Refer to the resource or offer the person requested. A reminder should be easy to place in the conversation rather than feel like a new unsolicited campaign.

  2. Respect the window

A scheduled follow-up can be skipped if the supported messaging window has closed. Plan your timing around the most recent eligible interaction.

  3. Let the person stop

Respect opt-outs and avoid a string of repeated nudges. One helpful check-in often gives your team more signal than several increasingly urgent messages.

Before and after

Interest can cool after the first answer. A timely nudge can help.

Without a system

Following up from memory.

  • Reminders sent by memory, or not at all
  • Check-ins after the window has closed
  • The same nudge sent twice
  • Deadlines invented to create urgency

Before you switch it on

Measure the help, not the pressure

A reminder should make it easier to get an answer, not make the person feel chased. Compare replies and link activity with the number of follow-ups delivered. If many people ask to stop, revise the wording or remove the nudge. A configured delay longer than the messaging window does not make late delivery permitted.

Campaign notes

Keep incoming message replies useful

  • Use the words people actually send, then choose a matching mode that suits the request. An exact campaign code and a broader question keyword serve different purposes. Test an expected request, a longer sentence, and an unrelated message. Review other active flows so the same incoming question does not produce several competing answers.

  • Prepared replies should answer known questions with information you maintain. They are not a reason to improvise product claims or make custom commitments. Leave a clear route to your team and respect the supported messaging window. If the destination changes, update and retest the reply before the next campaign.

Questions, answered.

Will every scheduled reminder be sent?

No. Linkar checks delivery eligibility, including opt-out status and the supported messaging window. A reminder that is no longer eligible is skipped. Treat that behaviour as part of the campaign design rather than a failure to force delivery.
