# Instagram offer follow up template

This recipe starts with an incoming offer request and adds a short timed check-in to a supported DM flow. The follow-up should offer help with the original request. Delivery depends on messaging eligibility and opt-out status at the scheduled time. A configured delay is not a permission to contact someone after the supported window closes.

## Setup

1. Prepare the requested offer reply

Use an incoming DM keyword and a maintained destination. Make the first message useful without relying on the later nudge.

2. Write one short check-in

Choose a sensible delay within the intended journey. Offer help, avoid false urgency, and keep any destination consistent with the first reply.

3. Test send and skip behaviour

Review the scheduled follow-up in a test conversation. Check opt-out and closed-window cases before relying on the reminder in a live campaign.

## Next step

Eligible reminder: ‘Any questions about the offer?’

Follow-up delivery is conditional, not guaranteed.

## A helpful nudge is enough

Do not stack reminders merely because the builder accepts a delay. Review whether people reply or ask to stop, and remove the follow-up if it adds pressure without helping. Keep actual deadlines on the offer page. A private comment reply alone should not be treated as permission for ongoing DM reminders.

## Keep incoming message replies useful

Use the words people actually send, then choose a matching mode that suits the request. An exact campaign code and a broader question keyword serve different purposes. Test an expected request, a longer sentence, and an unrelated message. Review other active flows so the same incoming question does not produce several competing answers.

Prepared replies should answer known questions with information you maintain. They are not a reason to improvise product claims or make custom commitments. Leave a clear route to your team and respect the supported messaging window. If the destination changes, update and retest the reply before the next campaign.

Replace all sample wording and destinations. This is a workflow plan, not an importable or already-published automation.
